I see a lot of people discussing only the weight related effects and lifestyle changes, but we should also consider that GLP-1 meds don't just suppress appetite. They also actively treat the underlying insulin resistance that it's taken for.
u/Training-Dingo-5978 Are you taking the medication for diabetes management? Or are you not diabetic and taking this for weight loss only?
glp1 support supplements are a scam.
Assuming you’re taking it for diabetes, what’s your diabetes management plan without the glp1? Make sure you have one.
The most likely scenario is that you will see both your glucose levels and weight go up, so be prepared for that.
Absolutely, GLP-1s can be a game-changer for weight loss and appetite control, but a lot of the long-term success comes from the lifestyle habits you build while on them. If you’re planning to stop, the key is not to just quit cold turkey and expect things to stay the same. Focus on the healthy routines you’ve been practicing, balanced meals, portion awareness, regular movement, sleep, and stress management.
Some people try “support supplements,” but there’s no magic pill, what really helps is keeping the habits that worked while on GLP-1. Think of the medication as a tool that helped you reset your relationship with food; now you can carry that forward with lifestyle changes. Many people find that if they plan the transition carefully and stick to their routines, rebound weight gain can

I stopped taking Ozempic 18 months ago and have been able to lose weight. I took it for Type 2 diabetes to control blood sugars.
I started low-carb before taking the drug.
I would recommend doing low-carb, if not Keto, or even a Carnivore diet.
Keep busy so cravings don't take over. Honestly, if you're Carnivore, you won't want to eat more. The food is so filling. Anything else just makes you sick.
If you want to take anything to support metabolic health, take a high-quality Berberine supplement.
That shit works great for glucose management. That's the only thing I take now after being on Losartan, Rosuvastatin, and Metformin for years to control glucose, blood pressure, and cholesterol. Don't need any of that now.
I hope you have success. Please consider a Keto or Carn
Is there a specific reason you’re wanting to stop?

When I stopped I just kept up the routine of keeping moving, I kept lifting weights and just did small meals throughout the day,
The weight gain didn't hit me till I got injured and the couldn't keep moving till I got healed up, but working on trying to get into the swing of things now that I'm almost all healed up.
My glp1 story on why I quit was I had a bad digestive side effects like 9 months into using it and I was losing sleep because of the issues and as a result couldn't keep my glucose as stable. Went off of it cold turkey and it took like 3 months still for my stomach not to have as many issues. now get some stomach flare ups and Endo and I are not sure if it's now a permanent side effect that I have to learn to live with random periodic IBS.
I had to stop my GLP-1. I used it for 4-5 years with occasional side effects like violent vomiting. These side effects became more frequent and I stopped
I immediately noticed my hunger returning. Gained 10 lbs. I went fairly strict keto to counteract. So far it’s working controlling appetite and I have lost the 10 lbs I gained.
me personally went with triquetra while planning my glp 1 exit and it made a noticeable difference. using the full combo helped rebuild gut health, support metabolism, and stabilize appetite during the critical transition weeks. i still tracked food and stayed active, but as glp support supplements, it really smoothed out what could have been a brutal rebound. highly recommend planning ahead rather than waiting until after stopping.
im also planning to stop soon and this thread is so helpful. would love some tips.
