Burned out

I'm just so tired. I was diagnosed around 15 years ago when I went through menopause and a lot of other health problems. I handled it well until about two years ago when my husband became seriously ill, stage 4 COPD ill. Since he became ill, I have had a lot of trouble taking care of my own health.

I wish I had some advice, but I just want to share that I’m right there with you right now :/ My partner was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ewing Sarcoma last year and has been doing chemotherapy for 8 months. I’m type 1 and had my dosage pretty dialed in and good A1C, but now I just find it so much harder to take care of myself. I’m too tired. I see 300 on my phone and don’t have the energy to walk across the room to get my insulin pen. You are not alone and I have hope we can both turn it back around :) I remember how proud I was when I got my A1C under control after diagnosis, and I can see it happening again once I figure out how to cope with this shit!!

I wish I had some more specific advice, but I’ll just remind both of us that this is the only life we’ve got, and we get to choose how much

Thank you so much for sharing. I feel less alone now. I hope you and your partner the best and we can both scrape together some energy.
