I am currently taking 15mg for the added weight loss benefit, but I had excellent control on 2.5. My glucose levels were non-diabetic with my first injection. For reference, my starting a1c was 8.3.

I’m going to drop down in dose at my next doc visit, probably to 5 mg. I can’t stay on 2.5 long term as my insurance will only allow one fill of 2.5 every 6 months.

Sounds like you don’t need more. Unless you’re trying to use it for weight loss. I was on 2.5 for over a year.

The first three doses I took (2.5 mg) kept me at about 100, maybe a bit lower. The response was pretty immediate. The 4th injection had me in the 60’s so I had to stop it. I had no gi issues but developed tremors that didn’t seem to be from the hypoglycemia (continued after discontinuing and after glucoses corrected).
