Libre3, How do I shut this effing thing off?

shared by: davper · · 💙 1 · 💬 3 · Join the discussion

3rd sensor in a row that loses connection after 10 days. Every 15 minutes it beeps to let me know it does not have a connection anymore.

How do I stop it from beeping?

I remember my third sensor dying too. I ended up taking it off and using the app to mute alerts. It taught me patience and that sometimes technology needs a break just like us.

Yeah if you’re using the newest app, you should be able to silence all alarms for six hours at a time. Otherwise, delete the app and redownload once you get a new sensor.

Before they added that silencing feature, I used to delete the libre app every time I was going to a movie/show of some sort. Having that piercing urgent low glucose alarm go off on a quiet theater would make me cringe with embarrassment.

If you turn your phone volume off it won't send any sound alerts (that can be heard anyway). I have mine completely muted outside of vibration alerts for this very reason.
