I get motion sickness pretty often (transportation, moving screens etc) and the best treatment I've found is to slowly and consistently eat sugar or carbs while I'm being exposed (like on the plane). I could live at sea if I could suck on a lollipop the whole time.

I need advice on what to do inst

This. I've had terrible motion sickness all my life and ginger capsules are the only thing that works consistently.

  • Sit in the front of a car or bus.
  • Choose a window seat on flights and trains.
  • If possible, try lying down, shutting your eyes, sleeping, or looking at the horizon.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking water. Limit alcoholic and caffeinated beverages.
  • Use flavored lozenges, such as ginger candy.
  • Commonly used medicines are diphenhydramine (Benadryl), dimenhydrinate (Dramamine), and scopolamine.

Ginger. I eat dried ginger from Trader Joe's. It's about 5g of carbohydrate for each wrapped piece (I think there's some added sugar in there), but one is usually enough to get me through a plane's descent, for example. I also use gum. I've figured out that the key is getting heavy salivation. Both ginger and gum work for that. Motion sickness is the worst.

If its a chronic problem, go to an ear specialist. I have a vestibular imbalance due to loss of balance in one ear and the only thing that has helped me was the therapy that lady put me through. It was horrible but it had a lasting affect.

Mine was so bad though i was getting car sick driving myself lol

I used to chew candy nonstop on long drives. After my prediabetes diagnosis, I switched to small fruit bites and nuts slowly. It helps my stomach and keeps my sugar stable.
