Okay, so I know I'm probably not Type 2, a lot of what I am seeing leads me to believe I could be Type 1.5/LADA based on trends and data (I'm 25F, have autoimmune disorders). I have to do more bloodwork to confirm.

It has nothing to do with diabetic symptoms and everything to do with how your body operates overnight. Have you ever wondered how you can go 8 hours through sleeping without needing to wake up to eat at some point?

I was super sick and did not eat anything for 24 hours and my blood sugar looked the same. It never got below 150 and we’ll go above 230 and then I’d have to use insulin. I don’t get it.

Your liver holds sugar it releases it expecting your pancreas to release insulin to keep you fueled but not let your blood sugar to get too high. When you have T1 your pancreas cannot release insulin and when you have T2 your insulin is less effective. That spike could be the Dawn Phenomenon or just a natural reaction to your blood sugar getting low.

You can get a simple blood test to see if your pancreas is making any insulin
