Was recently prescribed Tresiba by my endocrinologist. In fact she sort of gave out to me for not already switching?

What do you mean I said? You're the people I speak to about my insulin I only do what you guys tell me to do! I've never even heard of Tresiba.

She doubled down- "Do you not know t

I switched from Levemir to Tresiba after my endo scolded me for not knowing it was ending. I felt blamed for information I was never given. I follow instructions and trust the experts. Still, Tresiba surprised me. My sugars are steadier and I feel calmer. The lesson I took is simple. Care works best when guidance is shared with respect.

You did nothing wrong here for sure. Your endo sounds like an asshole for speaking to you like this. You can't know about something you were never told.

Your endo should have informed you about it, not blamed you for not knowing. Your pharmacist should have informed you and told you to get a new prescription. There are many points in this chain that failed you and you should file a complaint with the relevant healthcare provider (the endo's office) or the institution (such as the hospital they work at). It's not okay to mistreat a patient verbally for something that is literally the endo's job.

Some of us keep really educated on all the changes and talk to our endos right away. Your endo probably assumed you did the same and knew about it. They shouldn’t have assumed that you do also. Lots of people are very busy and cant keep updated on stuff.

The switch was a shit show for me, One week I was using Levemir and the next week I was on Tresiba. No heads up or anything just you're using this now.

Did it not work the same? Did you have reactions or side effects?

Tresiba works fine it was just the switch that sucked no heads up or anything.

I don’t see how “it sucked” if it didn’t cause issues.

You don't know the stress that it caused me
