Blood readings back to back

Is it normal for readings taken less than 10 seconds apart from the same area to vary? I know blood draws from different spots can vary depending on the distribution of glucose, if hands were washed etc., but I was questioning my CGM so I decided to test something out tonight with my poke.

Yes. At least for US meters, they can vary by 10-20% per the FDA for personal meters. Hospital ones I think are limited to 10%?

Treat your high glucose by the lowest number, whether it's insulin, exercise, etc. I do a mix... usually biking and a bit of insulin. Cardio will bring it down pretty quick.

Variance is normal, and it would be even if you had a hypothetical machine that could perfectly count the number of glucose molecules in your sample. Your blood isn't homogenous, so not every drop will have the exact same amount of glucose, and thus, readings will vary. They should be similar though.
