So I just started using a Libre 3+ a month and a half ago. Sunday I replaced with a new sensor. Last night when I went to check before bed it said my sensor ended. After about 30 hours. So I’m on hold with the company, but since I’m on Medicare, I don’t think I’ll get a replacement. Nothing really t

I’m puzzled. When this happens to me, I don't call. I use the website, report the sensor failure, and they send a replacement. They did not ask whether I was on Medicare, and it doesn't matter.

Abbott replaces failed devices without pushback that I've seen.

Did Abbott actually tell you they won’t replace it? What are basing your assumption on?

Well I look online and wasn’t sure if that would be a sensor error or what since the app said to scan a sensor and when I tried to scan that one again, it said sensor ended. So I just called instead. And I’m getting one sent next day or two thankfully.

I'm glad it worked out. The app can be confusing when a failure occurs, but so far Abbott has replaced promptly when an issue occurred. I just had my third failure this morning, the second within 2 weeks.

I'm getting good at requesting replacements, unfortunately...

You'll get a replacement. It's not a Medicare thing, it's a Freestyle hardware thing. Where you got it and how you paid for it is irrelevant.

I’m on the Libre 2. I have had 3 now that die after less than 24h (2 never activated) and 2 that fell off in the first few hours. I’m thinking they have some qc problems but their customer support is spot on.

this is why i stopped wearing cgm’s. mine would come off with in minutes or be faulty and abbott refused to replace them after like my fifth sensor stopped working

I understand that. My first one went like 10 days then quit. Another after 7 days. Luckily my doctor gave me one then. But yeah. I’m like 2/4 on them lasting the whole 15 days. I really like using it but it’s def frustrating when they don’t work.
