My body is tender in certain areas. Forearm, thighs mainly. I'm just curious if anyone has experienced the same. I thought maybe because my skin is dryer this time of year or may dehydration. I don't feel dehydrated, but I know I don't get enough water in me because I don't ever feel thirsty for any

I have this problem with my back. Fluctuating blood sugar can do that, even if your numbers aren't excessively high or low. It causes inflammation and your muscles and tissue can feel pressure. It's the same reason why my sciatica acts up when my BG is fluctuating. This doesn't mean I'm eating bad, it can also be because I'm eating too little and too irregularly and when I do, it spikes me too high. Even protein can spike your BG.

Your low intake of water can be the issue also because when you're chronically dehydrated, fluids are pulled out of your tissue in periods of high BG which stresses them again, leading to tenderness. If you're not experiencing thirst, you should take a small sip every half an hour or on whatever schedule that works for you to at least drink water. Building the

I live with type 2 diabetes and I felt the same tenderness in my forearms and thighs last winter. I ignored thirst and drank little water. When I improved hydration and moisturized, pain eased. My labs were fine. I learned nerve sensitivity and dry skin can play a role. I still ask my doctor and track symptoms.
