Some context, I have a lot of scar tissue so infusions tend to leak out insulin before the normal 3 days are up. Usually when I notice this happening, I turn Smartguard off and let my pump give me basal and just use injections to keep my blood sugar in check. I understand this can affect the algorit

I use extended life infusions. They’re better than the 3-day, but it wont resolve your problem. Steel infusion (or the type where the needle stays in) is best for scar tissue. Take a look at an infusion site body map. I’m sure you can find sites without scarring.

Yeah, so far I've been using my upper thighs and it's been working for the full 3 days, only problem with that is it gets quite painful by day 2 and I'm left with some decent bruising by day 3 with them, so idk how the extended life ones will fair there. And the steel needles leaked the same way as the plastic cannulas on my stomach.
