Acne is a multi faceted issue. It can be affected by hydration, stress, sleep, diet, genetics, and hormones just to name a few. My guess is all those factors have been in flux since you have been in the hospital. So it’s probably not just one factor contributing to your breakout.

If it makes you feel any better I have been type one for 20 years and have very clear skin lol.

When I was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes I remember lying in a hospital bed feeling relieved to breathe normally again but confused by the sudden changes in my skin. I had never dealt with breakouts before and it scared me. Over time my body slowly adjusted as my insulin settled into a steady rhythm. My skin calmed down too. Patience, gentle care and steady blood sugar helped more than anything.
